Nyahaha... Shunga eh. "Pwede po ba makausap si Cherry?" "Ah... oo ako nga yun!" "Ano... ano...? No matter how many times you change your number, I will always find you!"

Pinagkakampihan nila ako nung maputi at plastik na girlalou from L&D. Waaah...

6 - Through MSN ulit... nalaman ko na ang isang "kagalang-galang" kuno na former-bastketball-hunk-married-to-a-journalist-from-ABS-CBN eh tinawag akong "unggoy" just because I asked him a simple question. According to him, mas marunong pa daw sa akin yung 5-year-old son niya. Huuuy... walang perpekto!

7 - Tamang na-open ko ang most-confidential-employee-file ever... the "black book" of HR. Hehe... Kayo... anong gusto niyong malaman?

8 - Nakalibre ako ng USD 450+ for "purchasing" a M___soft product. Hehehe... I had no intentions naman kaya lang I believe there is a glitch in their licensing process that gave me this stuff for free.

9 - Ako si Wacky WoDa! Weeheee...

I am Lady Sticky Star =)

Thanks to Chivar Schizo I am now addicted to http://www.palistuhan.com.ph. Hehe. Sulit naman ang pagka adik kasi now I am working on Level 3. Pahirap nang pahirap... kaloka! Anyway, marami pang pwedeng pagkaabalahan. I tried 'Supahfy Yo' Name' and I came out to be Lady Sticky Star. Dunno what the heck that means in the palistuhan world but whatever it is... the logo reminds me of the album R & B. (Which reminds me... I need to look for it pala!)

OMG - OmNia Gorgeous!

OMG as in OmNia Gorgeous is all I can say about the new Samsung i900, more widely known as the Omnia. I am not here to write a detailed review about it, I just can't keep the awe to myself and so I wanted to share the best and worst things I learned about the phone. On Saturday, Ed and I met Engel our friend to have an exchange-gift-session of some sort but we ended up buying her Omnia, and this has become the highlight of the weekend.

  • First of all, the selling price was set to a whopping PhP 31,999 (from the Samsung store at the 3rd level of Robinson's Place Manila). We got it on installment basis but I was kinda disappointed that they applied the 1.30% interest rate on the SRP, instead of on the remaining balance (Engel made a cash-out of PhP 7k). Dunno if my thinking is right... but you should only be applying interest on what you owe, right? Anyway, since this is a long awaited buy, Engel gave in. (Dapat may commission ako eh, kasi ako pa nagconvince! Hehe)
  • The stylus doesn't have a slot that goes anywhere into the body of the phone. Instead... it dangles at the external. Good thing is, it works just like the rabbit antenna of a TV set, where from its entire length, it can be folded down into almost less than half its length. The design of the stylus' cover looks elegant as well. (IF you didn't know the Omnia, you'd think that the thingie hanging out there is a decorative chain of some sort.
  • According to the sales people: When you are at a meeting or some place where ringtones or cellular phone beeps are a no-no, and you forgot to put your Omnia into silent mode, you simply have to turn the phone lying face down on the desk or anywhere (as long as it's lying face down) and the Omnia will automatically shift to silent mode. (Galing noh! If only people could do that to babies too! Haha)
  • The screen orientation (whether portrait or landscape) automatically shifts when you rotate the phone. So if you're holding your phone in a vertical manner, the screen is upright, and when horizontal, the screen is in landscape mode as well. This is called the accelerometer feature.
  • Just like most new cameras in the market now, it has a "smile" recognition feature
  • The phone's internal memory is 8Gb, and can further be expanded to 16Gb with an external card! Can you imagine that?! (Kaya lang I learned last night that the phone was showing some funky errors saying that the memory is at a critical level, despite the fact that there was still around 7.x Gb left on the card.) I read some forums last night and it seems to be an error common with Omnia users, but of course, there are ways to fix this. I hope Engel finds the article.
  • It comes with Windows Mobile 6.1, and the interface looks very much like my HTC Touch, except for the cutie widgets at the side. (Imagine your Windows Vista widgets, that's how it looks like).
  • You can watch movies in DivX format, and all other standard media file types in the market. (Except that, I think I heard someone say that it doesn't have a Windows Media Player).
  • It has video recording capabilities, unlike the iPhone.
My final judgement? The phone is the best buy that Engel has ever done! I saw how thrilled and love-stricken she was with this phone and I know this will make her happy until she gets reminded again of the unsuccessful love stories she's been into in the past. I know majority will say that the Omnia was a luxurious buy... but for me... If you have the money and you want to be happy... spend it freely!

Sun Cellular's iMessenger

There's this hype on Unlimited Messenger/Chat services as advertised on TV by the two telco giants: Smart and Globe. Uzzap by Smart and Connected24Ever by Globe. Well of course, each claims to be better than the other, each claims to be the first, each of them tries to come up with the "cheapest" offering in the market. Everytime I see these ads on TV, I ask... "What the hell is Sun Cellular doing?! Don't they have a marketing team at all?!" Don't get me wrong! No... no... I am not a die-hard Sun subscriber (not because of anything else, but I just want to point out that I am neutral here). In fact, I have been a loyal Globe subscriber all this time... even if a day passes by without getting a strong signal from Globe. (uhuh... as in!) Back to the topic. I know for a fact that Sun Cellular was the first to launch this Unlimited Messenger thingie, but there seems to be no aggressive campaign/ads initiated by them on TV. You can check it out here: http://www.suncellular.com.ph/vas_iMess.php. As you can see in their press release... you can do Unlimited 'Messengering' for 24 hours, for only 20 pesos!
  • Unlike the offerings of other networks, you DON'T NEED TO INSTALL anything into your phone. You are chatting as if you were just sending SMS!
  • For first time users - your first day is FREE. Just text SunIM to 2746
  • You can IM with all your friends in Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, and even ICQ!
  • Added Features: a) You can download your entire contact list for ALL your IM accounts so that you can see who is online b) Since your 20 pesos is valid for a good 24 hours only, you can check your remaining subscription time by sending an SMS command to 2746 c) You may also get a ONE-WEEK/7-day subscription at 100 pesos. (so that's 2 days free for you dear!)

Well, I haven't been using SunIM for quite sometime now, for the reason that I am literally glued to my laptop already, because of the tons of paperwork that need to be finished. Still there is the Sun though... with my Plan 350 - Unlimited Call & Txt. (San ka pa?) Good to note that despite Sun Cellular being the underdog among all three of them, it doesn't stop looking for ways to gain that competitive edge, and to also give more options to consumers. It's just a pity that their ad campaigns are not that visible to the viewing public. Matawagan nga si Aga! :)

Happy Weekend everyone!

sun cellular plan 350

the wacko signal of globe has led me to revisit the services that other networks can offer, and between smart and sun, i opted to choose sun cellular. first - because ed's company issued the sun cellular handsets and plans. second - sun cellular has economical plans, very affordable, and cost-effective. third - they let me choose my cell number... yey! fourth - sun's signal is at least much better here at home than globe. i haven't really explored what other good things there are about sun, but really, i am enjoying the forever-unlimited-calls-and-text to sun subscribers, and of course, the 250 free text messages to other networks. all these... for only php350 a month!

Hotel Review: Holiday inN Bangkok

Can't help but make a review for Holiday Inn Ploenchit Bangkok that made my first visit to Thailand a memorable one, with that being a great hotel where I celebrated by 27th birthday.

The Good: 1. very very good corporate rate of 90USD per night!!! 2. very clean and relaxing rooms. 3. free internet 4. wide as in wide selection of breakfast menus! 5. superb in-room dining experience 6. nice location - near the shopping malls and the BTS 7. friendly staff, always smiling :) (after all, they're the city of smiles) 8. enchanting aroma within the hotel 9. fast checkin and checkout
The Bad: There was this bellman who acted indifferently towards me when I failed to give him a tip after getting me a cab. It's not that I'm kuripot or something, but it just so happened that I really didn't have any loose change with me. After that day, this guy started ignoring me, and not minding me.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close proximity to the BTS which makes it very convenient to go to other areas of Bangkok. They say the pool is nice, but didn't have the chance to visit it.

the master is compromised

what the heck is happening with mastercard? all four mastercards that ed and i have are now suspended because they "might" have been compromised. out of the four incidents, i was only given two specific possibilities of where this could have happened: in some merchant in singapore (which i hardly believe because of the honesty that the country is known for) and another in a popular seafood restaurant in alabang (damn... sarap pa man din ng crabs nila! rrrrrrrr... go figure!) in singapore, the card might have been cloned daw, and then in alabang, someone might have copied my credit card information and used the same for online transactions. well... pissed as i may be, (because i have to stay home to wait for the card delivery... long story later) i am still glad that these companies are taking a proactive approach to the prevention of theft and fraud. yun nga lang... hassle talaga: 1) like i said, i need to stay home. laging tanong sakin, "ma'am, if you won't be at home, you could leave an authorization letter with your authorized representative..." eeeeeeek... wait lang! wait lang! hindi lahat ng tao ay may househelp. hindi lahat ng bahay ay may naiiwang tao sa umaga. why can't couriers at least contact the consignee to ask about their availability? this way they are saving on time, and transportation cost. 2) if you don't receive that "account-has-been-compromised" call prior to swiping that card in some establishment... dang! pahiya ka pa niyan. you end up being embarassed as the transaction will come up as "declined" 3) what if you are out travelling abroad, and you depend on nothing else but your mastercard? shunga... pano na yan dava? 4) now this is getting me worried about my other "safe" cards. are the visa cards still "safe?" 5) getting all four cards compromised is scary - what should i do to prevent this? gusto ko naman sanang magcash nalang kaso wala nga akong cash. KAS pwede pa. (kaskas :P)

"There are some things money can't buy. For everthing else, there's MasterCard" --- huh?

let's get zany on friday

happy monday morning everyone! how was your weekend? mine was all cool, less the aircon... in 2600 - the city of pines... my hometown... Baguio City! ed and i left 4103 at around 11pm [shyete, di na ako naka concentrate sa panonood ng dyesebel, kim sam soon, and survivor philippines! babawi nalang ako mamaya. kasi naman nag empake pa ako at naligo (of course!)] for victory liner pasay. ah before we went to the terminal nga pala, i asked manong driver to take us to ayala avenue, to get the much wanted krispy kreme doughnuts for my fave SIL Gladz who's giving birth soon. yey!!! i called krispy kreme customer service in the afternoon pa lang of friday, and they assured me that the stores are open until 1:00am. so excited din naman ako, kasi matagal na din akong hindi nakakatikim. shunga! pagdaan namin ng ayala... nakasara! so ayan, pinilit ko pa rin - we went to The Fort.
8. bakit parang lahat ng bus ay kalahati lang ang sakay? almost half are either chance passengers, or passengers who opt to go early? i think this is a modus operandi: they make buses half-full only then proceed to issue tickets for the next trip so that the passengers who got later time slots will be enticed to pay the surcharge of 10% instead of waiting for their reserved times. imagine, kung dalawa kayo, PHP92 na kaagad yun.

all these things i've seen, from 12:30am to 2:30am. naglalaro na nga ako ng psp eh di ko maiwasan na hindi sila mapansin!
4. eto pinaka-hate ko: kapag yung passenger sa harap mo eh nagrerecline ng seat na para bang naka business class siya sa eroplano! grrr... i would have wanted to go and sit in front of her and do the same. let's see what she's gonna do. narerecline nga po ang mga seat, but please be considerate enough naman with the people seated behind you.

while i've been whining about all these on the bus... ed and i go zany by quoting bitoy on bubble gang...sumbong sumbong kay bonggang bonggang bongbong. dito na kayo magsumbong... derecho pa ang aksyon!

let's get zany on our ridey

happy monday morning everyone! how was your weekend? mine was all cool, less the aircon... in 2600 - the city of pines

A Memory for every SCent...

I am sure you know what I am talking about when I say that there is a memory in every song... the instance where you feel a "spark" upon hearing a song. Rachel Alejandro's "Paalam Na..." reminds me of a high school experience where a 'former' actually sang the song literally in front of the class, and openly told everyone that the song is dedicated to me. To make things worse, the 'Trigo' teacher excused me from my current class to witness the heart-pounding event. Well of course it was a 'kilig' moment a few years back, and it remains a 'funny' yet 'touching' encounter for me.

In the same manner as these songs stimulate my emotions, scents are nostalgic too.
1. Angel’s Breath – my very first “pabango” which I got when I was in Kindergarten. Of course, the set includes the powder and the cologne which I called “perfume.” [Who would have cared what I call it, except my classmates who acted like they were ‘dalagitas’ na?!] This scent also reminds me of Euclid, a former colleague at TeleTech. Hambangooo! J
2. Anais Anais and Tatiana – childhood memories of Mama Taw, and my stay in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija. Mama Taw first introduced these scents to me, and I loved them. I wore these two alternately everyday kahit na magpapakain lang ako ng mga baboy (si Ringo Star lang ang naaalala ko, iniyakan ko kasi nung binebenta na siya), itik and pabo.
3. Tommy– given to me on my 10th birthday by Uncle Jun. It came with a white sling bag which I liked very much, in fact, the bag is still with me until now. :) I took it to an overnight camping of Girl Scouts in Baguio. I hated one of my 5th grade classmates who accidentally stepped on my bag. Hehe.
4. Red Door by Elizabeth Arden – yes, very strong indeed. I used to wear it every time as in every single time that I wore my matching faded maong pants and Guess maong jacket. Any shirt inside would do, but my favourite was my fuschia shirt with flowers and “Colorado” printed on it. Again – these items I still have with me until now.
7. Alyssa Ashley Musk – when I first smelled this, I literally went around the house, looking for the scent. Eh yun pala, the lotion has a very looong lasting effect. When you say Alyssa Ashley – I’d say Tita Tingting. J
8. Pleasures by Estée Lauder – all good, as in! Wore this in later years of high school, then college, then my unforgettable debut, and until now. No specific event in mind, (except for times na sinasabihan ako ng mga tao na “ang bango” ko daw... nyaha... feeling! :P) kasi all good talaga.
9. Bvlgari Blv – the first gift I got from Ed, on the first Christmas as a couple. (hindi pa married ha, boypren-boyprenan pa lang. Hihi.)
10. Bvlgari White and Bvlgari Green Tea– Singapura! USD 75 yung dalawa. Wanna know what I mean? Check this out à http://flickr.com/photos/rhodamarie/354592683/in/set-72157594474630625/
So nung kiss niya ako and hug niya ako when we went to their place... talagang tinapat ang ilong sa leeg ko. So... yan binili naming na birthday gift niya. J
12. Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste – Waterfront Hotel sa Cebu. Aspect eWFM User’s Group Forum. Here I first met Cehra D, and Julie Ann H. Halos maligo rin ako sa pabango na ito nung manggaling kami ng “Tabuan” (bilihan ng mga dried fish, chicharon, etc).
Bwehehe]
14. Kenzo Flower – my first trip to India! I HAD to as in DI PWEDENG HINDI gamitin ang powers nito! Mommy used this too on my wedding.
15. Chance by Chanel – Geez. My most luxurious loot ever, from Changi. Haha. Then the saleslady asked me if I was Ok, sabi ko... “Oh yes!... (mapupurdoy ako nito)
16. Bvlgari Extreme ni Ed – Gosh! Kaka-inlove. Sino kaya yun? Kapag ganyan kabango manliligaw ko, sasagutin ko kaagad.” Syempre hinila ko kaagad si Ed away from the girlalou when we reached the next floor. Hehe.

Let me end this with a song, and a “scent” – makes me miss the BellSouth Days with Tin and Mommy Dods. [Sinasayaw pa nga yata namin ito? :)]

Hotel Review: Peninsula is it?

O sa aking friendship dyan na naghahanap ng review about hotels in Singapore... eto na para sayo. This is published in www.agoda.com - where I do my hotel bookings. I'll post another on Grand Churva so that you have one more. :)

My Stand? I think Peninsula Excelsior should renovate not only the outer areas of the hotel, but also the rooms instead. The current state of the hotel does not match the prestige that the "Peninsula" brand is known for. I would have appreciated an old room, but not a dirty bathroom, not the dirty towels, and not the stinky carpets. My only good experience with Peninsula is the fact that it is within the city area and that because of staying there, we were introduced to the very good Aangan Restaurant.
The Good: Only these - close proximity to the city area and instant confirmation via Agoda (probably because this is not a sought-after hotel anymore) and the Aangan Restaurant which was nearby
The Bad: 1. Expensive rate which was not matching to the over-all service of the hotel 2. The staff were not interacting with their guests 3. Broadband Internet was priced expensively at 25 SGD per 24 hours (other hotels would give this for free) 4. The rooms are very old, not to mention that everything around the room smelled so old too 5. The bathroom was the dirtiest I have ever seen among all hotels in Singapore. 6. The toilet flush wasn't working well. 7. Shower and bath tub were not separate 8. The bath tub's drain was clogged... and dirty 9. Windows in the bathroom were dirty 10. Towels were not as white as they should be 11. Carpets smelled bad and were dirty 12. Water kettle was rusty (I had it changed though)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close proximity to the City Hall MRT which makes it very convenient to go to other areas of Singapore. Walking distance to the Singapore River which has a lot of dining options around.

Hotel Review - Grand Plaza Park Hotel

My Stand? Like what I have read from many reviews, the Grand Plaza Park Hotel lived up to its friendly image. (Thanks to Emily at the Club Lounge, and Albert, the Filipino attendant at the lobby). This is the most noteable observation, and a lasting impression. For business trips, this is the best hotel to stay at - economical compared to same grade hotels... and what can I say... I enjoyed the broadband internet access - which was free! It was a good experience all throughout except of course for some "not-so-bad" things that I saw, but could be seen as areas that need improvement: the variety of buffet breakfast for one. I would love to come back again, so I would be happier to get another good rate, and some membership points.
The Good: 1. Complimentary broadband internet access 2. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff 3. Good rates via Agoda 4. Proximity to the city area 5. Good housekeeping procedures 6. The food was good
The Bad: 1. The shower and bathtub were not separate (I found this so inconvenient) 2. I wanted to stay longer and enjoy the Agoda rate but the rate was almost doubled. (Other hotels would offer a lower rate for extension, but I was treated as a walk-in guest) 3. Good food, but very less variety 4. There were only a few power sockets 5. No complimentary drinking water
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is in close proximity to the City Hall MRT, which makes it much easier for you to go around the other distant parts of Singapore. The Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, Raffles, Singapore River, Singapore Flyer, Chjimes are must-sees and the nearest areas for dining.

when your DREAM becomes a nightmare

From 2007 until this last Sunday, I have been feeling good about my subscription with Dream Satellite TV http://www.dream.com.ph/. So guess where the bad dream starts? With a simple conversation with the customer service representative from Dream TV. My subscription ended on Sep 13 so I have to either reload a prepaid card worth 890, or to request for an auto debit arrangement between Citibank and Dream. So here is how it went:

Ring ring... ring ring... "Welcome to Dream... yadda yadda... "

"Hello good afternoon, this is Bembol*. How may I help you?"

"Hello good afternoon. A few minutes ago I called Citibank and enrolled my Dream TV account for the Auto Debit arrangement. What else do I need to process with you to get this going?"

Yadda yadda... "...bale I am transacting in behalf of my husband."

"OK lang po yun Ma'am. Eh Ma'am, nag expire na pala subscription mo nung Sept 13 so since may pending autodebit arrangement request naman kayo, ipapa temporary recon ko nalang po yung account niyo hanggang maka receive kami ng fax document from Citibank, stating na nag apply nga kayo for autodebit."

"OK cge, pwede ko makuha fax number niyo? Ipapa-send ko na sa kanila ngayon."

"Ah ma'am eto po..." yadda yadda...

"Cge thank you, I'll call you back once OK na sa side ng Citibank."

So I called Citi and the officer willingfully obliged to send Dream the screenshot of their request utility (where they put in my request for autodebit arrangement.) After 30 minutes, I called Dream.

"Good afternoon, kanina I was asked by your rep to ask Citibank to send a confirmation of my enrolment for autodebit. Kindly check if it's there na?" I waited for this rep to ask my name or my smart card number... pero di tinanong... clairvoyant siguro siya!

After mga 30 seconds: "Ma'am wala po eh. Wala kaming natanggap."

"Ah so hindi mo pa ako tinatanong ng name ko or smart card number ko, eh alam mo na agad na walang nareceive na fax for my account?"

Or smart card number?" Yadda yadda. I gave my details.

After a some time...

Guess what... this same conversation repeated itself THREE times, with THREE different agents, and still the same freakin' result: asking Citibank to "REFAX again and again." In other words, the very helpful Citiphone officer "faxed" the document SIX TIMES kasi they have two fax numbers. [By the way, thanks to Citibank for being very professional, for being very patient, and for being very consistent with their customer service.]

And for the fourth time... hindi na makatiis ang lala girl niyo. So... ayan at naisip ko... iphone conference ko nga itong churvang Dream na ito with the highly professional Citiphone officers. Exciting!!!

After the usual opening script...

"Hi. I'm calling for the fourth time na. I'd like to know if you have already received the document sent by Citibank via fax?"

I am sure wala naman kayong caller ID.

Ibig sabihin, tatlo tayong mag uusap."

"Ay ma'am wait lang po, teka lang po. Check ko nalang po ulit."

O di natakot ka! Grrr...

Later...

I explained what happened - Dream received the docs but these were not clear enough for them to read. The professional Citiphone officer assured me that he would just talk to Dream to assure them of my pending application, and that he will supply them with whatever details they need to get.

Okay so the conversation between these two agents went on smoothly. As said, Citi remained very professional and consistent... while Dream transformed from being too nasty to "a little bit less nasty" because of the respectful manner by which Citi handled the call. One thing I noticed is, while the Citiphone officer was talking to this Dream lady... natatawa naman si dreamlady. Parang nakakaloko di ba? Sarap sapakin. So ayan, natapos na sila. Dreamgirl summarized the conversation by saying na:

Elena, with smart card # yadda yadda."

"So from Citiphone Banking, do you still need any further information?"

"Wala na po."

Click... Call ends.

So we enjoyed Dream TV the whole night. Then came Monday night... Bwahahaha. I am now their nightmare. Until they finish processing my audtodebit request... I will be their bangungot.

Sa inis ko I wrote an incident report this morning, sinakto ko lahat ng details. As in! So let's see. So far... sa ngayon, I am enjoying Asero. Then CSI mamaya.

Ciao. Will I DREAM again tomorrow?

Change of Heart?

Last night, my good friend lalabelle insisted that I tell her what happened when Badong came over to 4103, so I did as requested. Let me share...

... the idea that there might have been a change of heart on my side... "somehow."

Okay, so di ba nga, after his "meeting" at the now defunct Domestic Airport [hindi na nga ako naki-argue nga!] he went straight to NAIA Terminal II to pick up mommy dear who was due to arrive at 10am. *Wait... before that... he texted me at 8am sakto: "Anak, san ka na ba? D2 na ako airport." So I called him and told him that I just woke up and couldn't make it on time anymore.

I wasn't surprised na, when he called me at 11am to ask for directions on how to visit 4103. Well pano ba idetalye ito... nagiging "kinda" emotional ako. lol...

As in wala lang. Maya-maya after, natulog na. 4 solid hours!

Boooring... Booooring for an event-seeker like me! O eto na... Actually ang kwento ko talaga is how I felt about seeing him. Well, I wanted to believe it was nothing. I wanted to keep believing that he no longer had an impact on me. I wanted to be "manhid" and treat the encounter as a casual event - nothing special. But as soon as they left, I felt an outpour of mixed emotions. I was crying while closing the gate. I couldn't understand what I felt. I wanted it to be hatred, but no. It was something else.

I guess my mind kept on making me believe that I was mad at him, and that he was supposed to be ignored. But my subconscious "missed" him. Deep inside, I think I was really glad to see him. Kasi nga, as I have said, the last time we spoke was in June pa, and he was "Badong a.k.a Joseph a.k.a Joe" that time, not my Daddy. Change of heart, maybe? Don't know. I miss Daddy... not Badong, not Joe, not Joseph. I miss my Daddy Ben.

I cried again at night when Ed arrived from the office. I told him how I felt. He simply said. "...kahit ano pang manygyari, he's still your daddy."

Betcha My Aby Wow

I’m back with yet another story of infidelity, of martyrdom in love, and of unselfish love but this time this is not concerning Badong. I dedicate my own rendition of the song Betcha By Golly Wow to my friend ________ not because I want to make fun of him... but because this is the only way for me to express my hatred for this lady who broke his heart. Read on and you’ll figure out what I mean.

Betcha my Aby Wow...
There's a spark of shopping in your eyes

Dollar signs appear each time you smile
Never thought that your shoplist will come true
But they come true when I'm with you
You're a bilmoko in disguise
Full of shop bags and tag price

And betcha my Aby, wow
You're the one that I've been spending for forever
And ever will my cash for you keep growin' small
Keep growin' small

If I could, I'd be the world bank
To spend for you so high as the sky
Order all things in your favorite shade
To show I love you, to let you love me
Write your name across the cheque
Anything you ask I'll give, `cause

Betcha my Aby, wow
You're the one that I've been spending for forever
And ever will my cash for you keep growin' small
Keep growin' small

Betcha my Aby, wow
You're the one that I've been spending for forever
And ever will my cash for you keep growin' small
Keep growin' small

**New!!!** Cebu_Pacific now flies Laguna - Domestic Airport!

My mom's arriving from the US at 10 am tomorrow. I learned from dear Lola this afternoon, that Badong, together with our bunsoy Beneilski, is going to pick her up from the airport. Thinking about the close proximity of the airport to our home, I thought of swallowing my pride just to invite Badong to our humble abode. I had some plans in mind, both evil and good... well...
1) I had the feeling that, at last minute, he'll decide not to take Neil with him to Manila. Kasi nga naman, today is his last day of independence from his 'legal' wife. Gone are the free days with Cheribitch - the Spare Wife. [[By the way, I just bought the book, and I'm looking forward to read it. I just have to finish my latest Grisham first]] (I was told that he's home once a week, for at least one hour lang, to leave his dirty bitch-smelling clothes, and get new ones enough for one week. Anu ba yan, dami kong paningit! Bwahaha.) So... guess what, I was right! Soooo damn right! I called Lola again just two hours after we first spoke, and was told the Buboy our bunsoy was to be left at home nalang. Kasi daw... may exam siya on Wednesday... and... mamaya nalang, masisira kwento ko eh. Hihi.
2) I want to ruin his last free hours with Cheribitch. They'll check in to some hotel. Badong picks up mommy, then pagdating ng Baguio, sasabihin ni Badong na may seminar siya sa Edmark, tapos babalik siya ng Manila, tapos lalakwatsa sila ni Cheribitch sa Mall of Asia, tapos magsshopping sila. MAg-uubos ng hard-earned money ni Marky... tapos good time na naman... tapos churva churva na. Haay buhay! Ang talent talaga ni Cherry ay kakaiba. !!@#$%^*&()
3) I want him to see our hard-earned "wealth" - our simple home, to prove to him that I failed him on his negative expectations on me.
As in!!! Ehem.
Leche talaga! Surely din, kapag sinagot ni Badong yung phone that late, meaning magkasama sila. FYI - si Badong kasi, "early-to-bed-early-to-rise" person yan. For how many years na kasama ko si Badong, tulog na yan ng 8pm the latest tapos gigising ng 3am-6am the latest. Syempre! With a girl like Cheribitch... will the guy ever sleep early?!
*Shyet* Can't believe I am saying this! Last ko kasi siyang nakausap talaga nung "Skypee" episode pa! And take note... kausap ko pa siya as Joseph (aka Badong, Joe) so hindi talaga siya yung tatay ko that time. Wehehe.

So eto na nga... ano hula mo? Kinausap ko ba o hindi?

Syempre naman oo!!! I called Badong!!! Ring ring... Ring ring... Ring ring...

"Hello Daddy!!!"

"O anak, Good Evening. Kumusta?!

"Ahhh... Ahhhh... mga madaling araw anak. Kasi 8am may imi-meet ako sa Domestic Airport. Si... Misis Ah... [Eto na, be prepared...] "...Hindi ko na isasama si Neil kasi MAY SEMINAR AKO NG 8AM SA AIRPORT TSAKA MAY EXAM DAW SIYA." [For reference, go back to Item # 1... tama ako... tama ako!!!]

"Domestic Airport?

Ano ba talaga Badong? Tsaka... Misis Ahhhh ba ang pangalan? So hindi na ako naki-argue pa. I rested my case. lol. Pero ayan... krung krung talaga. Kulang nalang mag google ako, kung kailangan mo bang mag eroplano from Laguna to the Domestic Airport.

"Cge anak babye..."

Having read the dialogue... whatchathink? Naguluhan ka ba? Yan... yan si Badong... Ganyan makipag-usap sa mga taong maraming nililihim. Ganyan kausap ang mga gumagawa ng kakrungkrungan. Nyaha.

O... don't forget ha... May flights na ngayon from Laguna to the Domestic Airport, via Cebu Pacific. For more inquiries, contact Badong!

The End of Days...

Lagot ka Badong! Hmp!

Gross man!

1. Hindi na kayo makakapag grocery sa CSI Dagupan nang para bang magkakaroon ng gyera at nagsstock-up kayo sa Amado (or Fort Chumenelin na yata ngayon)
The Nerve! Hindi ka lang PAGCOR... DREAMer ka pa)

Cost-cutting to the max ito... ALL YOUR F*CKING FAULT. Because of your infidelity and your evil desires.

I am still not that bad Badong. I will still pray for you, especially for the family, na wag sana sila madamay sa kamalasan mo sa buhay mo. Sana nababasa mo ito... The Chronicles of Badong.

Facebook... here I come!

So I am now having fun with Facebook. It gives me the chance to do and own stuff that I can't in real life: having dogs as pets (Pokey and Pet Pupz), a colorful garden with plants that have lovely and cute faces (Green Patch), an empire of business establishments (Be a Tycoon), five cars that earn money while parked on a street (Parking Wars), buying people to own them (Owned), playing and winning in Bingo without spending a single peso (Bingo), having bugs that compete with other bugs, eventually making you an Olympian bug (Bug Olympics), being an X-Men like character (My Heroes Ability), designing several rooms in your house... (as you please) in My Room, tossing bottles at friends and breaking them - again without costing a single cent (99 Bottles of Beer), sending and receiving Good Karma (Send Good Karma), and making yourself an evil monster with an army behind - choose how you want to fight: Vampire, Slayer, Werewolf, Zombie (My Slayers). All these and more.

I guess the best thing about FaceBook is the fact that you get to interact with long time old friends that you don't get to see or talk to anymore. I must admit I am getting addicted to FaceBook, probably because with my first job that I spent almost four years in, I was confined to the four walls of the contact center, and having no social life at all, with my long lost friends. With FaceBook I got to realize the fun things about not working in a call center anymore. (Well I guess it is different if you have all your friends with you in the graveyard shift... but this is not the case with me.) No blocked sites, no browsing restrictions. (What the heck of me to say this when I am working from home anyway... lol)

** Thanks to Joey Capco and Mark Dionson for introducing and inviting me over to FaceBook.

Badong... why do I miss thee?

I miss Badong. Yesterday, Hubby and I had lunch at Tempura Mall of Asia and beside us is family of four: the father and mother probably in their 40's and their two sons, maybe 15+ of age. I could not help myself from "overhearing" their conversations, as I was touched with the way they were treating each other. They were just like friends, of the same age, telling foolish and funny stories to each other. (By the way, I think the brothers are twins but couldn't take a closer look - they might notice me.) The father was making fun of his sons for courting not-so-pretty girls, whom he described as "..malayo sa itsura ng mommy niyo nung high school kami. All of them laughed upon hearing this, and then the teasing started again. They were also making fun of their food (sashimi, caterpillar maki, and the seafood ramen - which we ordered too but did not like so much, just like them). Their so-called "family bonding time" went on and on until I didn't notice myself staring blankly out there, and Ed was trying to take me out of my trance. Looks like he was talking about all other things and I wasn't listening. Without apologizing, I told him that I was so happy for the family beside us, and that they were so lucky for having such cool parents. And he asked, "Bakit pano ba sa inyo dati?" And I had to tell him how Badong would get so annoyed whenever we (siblings and mom) were telling stories while at the dinner table. Badong was so annoyed of such habits because he was too concentrated and engrossed on watching TV while eating. Now I also remember how he hated people who sit at his pwesto at at the dining table. It is the perfect pwesto kasi - near the water dispenser, facing the TV - but despite this, he would still let people do things for him, like getting him water which is a foot away from him. Oh I don't miss Badong... I miss what Badong should have been!

The only memory I have of Badong inviting us over for an eat-out was at Shakey's in Baguio. I was very young then (I couldn't even remember how old I was that time) when he was given a service award (not even sure if TI or Moog) and a complimentary lunch/dinner/pizza at Shakey's. Those years were those of, when you ate out or made "kain sa labas" - it only meant either of the two: you are rich and eating out is normal or, you are poor, but try/want to experience eating out because this is like a once-in-a-lifetime chance. We were the latter (maybe, I don't know... because we were brought up so syano) and being "first-timers" in Shakey's - we were all ignorant on what "gourmet pizza" would taste like. Our taste buds were only accustomed to Greenwich... and... hmmm... I don't remember, something like the counterpart of Mr. Mappy's - you know... the pizza that was heated in a kalawanging oven and was sold in a booth somewhere in corner (could be Session Road, Abanao, or the market). So then the pizza was loaded with onions and pepperoni, etc. Moreso, the cheese didn't taste like the common cheese we all ate... So there - we just stared at each other, giggling at the Shakey's pizza. We all didn't like how it tasted, especially how the mozzarella looked so yucky... lol. We then ended up just finished the pitcher of Coca Cola. That was it, and I no longer remember the events that came after that. Oh well... those were the days. We were not rich, we were not modern, we were a "syano" family, but we were happy. We had a lot of jologs days back then, but we stayed in tact. We were together. There were fights, yes - but still, we stuck to each other. All that is gone now. =[ (I hope not).

Tempura Mall of Asia: It was our second time to visit that outlet. Ed wasn't too happy with it the first time we went there: warm temperature, messy surroundings, inaccurate orders, non-attentive staff, poor customer service. The second visit (after two years): still the same, but different. :) Ed now has a new perspective on Tempura - it is now our bread and butter. Oh yes it is! And we also have a 2K SP (go figure what this means) per month, hence, having the chance to "enjoy" their food at least twice a month. In fairness to Tempura and to compensate for their poor customer service... I soooo loooove their MAKI's! Especially Uncle Sam's Maki - which Ed loved too. We also love their Gyoza (the pork one... not the Tempura version). Guys - you gotta "fix" your seafood ramen though, and your sherbet... :P

Hancock, I'd say, is one unique hero/heroine story (I hope I am right in saying this). Other than that, I think the action scenes are somewhat common, the punchlines are somewhat funny, and the movie is a must-see for couples who need a break from the usual malling hobby - window-shopping, eating, strolling.. (especially when you're at MoA). I would have wanted to watch KungFu Panda too but it was scheduled at 9PM, too late for a Sunday.

Pizza Hut Bistro's Garlic and Mushroom was too salty. The Seafood Super Supreme was one-of-a-kind and tasty but not so "sea-foody" as you could only count how many slices or bits of seafood there was. Thumbs-Up to the Caribbean smoothie though. Customer Service was crazy! It took too long for every single request to be granted.

Sale @ MNG! Clothes were going at 50-70% off. (Damn I should really lose weight soon.) I was lucky to get two decent items for my SIL and my cousin Danise.

M for Mariah: I bought this perfume for MIL who was, via my hubby, kind of telling me that she wanted what I was wearing that day (Remember... Cavite Calvary) and that if I would be so kind to give her the miniature scents that I get whenever I buy fragrances. So there you go, PhP 2475 worth of birthday gift for you mamang dear.

Samsonite Mobile Phone case for the hubby: I was shocked to see it was on sale for only PhP450+ as it usually went at around more than PhP1k! (I know... he didn't need it so much, but just like when you take your kid to shopping, you have to buy him at least something!) And yes, I got another "something" for him which was the...

RubberMaid 12" food thongs. He loves using such when frying something so even if I didn't see the urgent need for it, out went PhP 349. lol.

Parker Slinger Pen for the BIL - who, I think, is his favorite, and the MIL's favorite too (but of course they both wouldn't admit). I think it is sosy, and very functional. Wanted to get one but it wouldn't be of any use to me since I am just seated in my "cube" the entire time.

FILA backpack for Jpeg's birthday - hmmm... so so... no choice. I just hope he'd like it, and more so, USE it!

For next shopping: Maidenform transparent straps, Groceries, Nivea deo, pH Care, Suave Moose, MNG (sana), Samsung Care Centre, FoC (sana), christmas gifts (early I know).

Why Badong Loves Them...

I have promised in my last post that I will be writing down reasons why Badong loves the "OTHER" family more than the "LEGAL" family. Well, here it is. Go figure! (I am not saying that I am right, whatever I say here is composed of what I feel, what I see, and what others are telling me. I am not even going to be a hypocrite and make myself look like the "good one.") I'm also injecting a lot of logic into it, matalino kasi ako! Forever Health Care I ka na yata 'day!)

1. According to a reliable source, Badong said that his biological kids are so "pangit."
- Shyet nakakahiya, kamukha pa man din (daw) kita.
- The physical traits of your offspring are the result of the DNA mix between you (Badong) and Orig.

- Oh well, yes I must admit - hindi talaga ako malambing... EVER! What I need to do to get what I want/need is to WORK for it.

3. Hindi daw malambing ang asawa niya.
- OKay, I rest my case on this... Just a quick question: You knew from the start that the woman you married is not malambing - why did you still marry her?! Why complain only after 25 years?! Delayed reflexes? Delayed reaction?

Haller! Dapat lang pagsilbihan ka niya (in whatever way-gross or not gross) kasi para masulit naman yung ginagastos mo sa kanya!

5. Making love or... yes... SEX as one of the main reasons.
- Is SEX always the basis of love? Do people marry just because of sex? When you look at a woman - do you see the word SEX on her forehead? Don't you understand that your wife has an illness and is therefore incapable, and as a husband, you had to stand by her side, IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, TILL DEATH DO YOU PART? If your answer is YES - then dapat nga magsama kayo ni Cheri.

6. He found all things nice and beautiful with the other family.
- Your fault! Your fault Badong! You were supposed to guide your family. You were supposed to be (primarily) both a FATHER and a HUSBAND! What were you instead? You were a sabungero, a businessman, a good brother to your siblings, a good samaritan to everyone else, a very good person to EVERYBODY, except your FAMILY!

You treated your family like business: When your wife/kids asked for money, you would reply back saying "Asan yung resibo?" You would tell your family that a business needs to be properly audited by providing receipts. Do you do that to Cherry and her kids?

You were never thoughtful. You were never "nice and beautiful" to your own ORIGINAL family: Do you ever recall a time when you gave birthday- and christmas- gifts to anyone? Do you ever recall a time when you volunteered to teach your daughter how to drive? You would say "Hindi pwede mag drive ang babae kasi nerbyosa ang babae!" Then why are Cheribitch and your bitchy "daughters" sitting on the driver's seat of your FORD EVEREST?!

You never see the good in your family.

You always take your family for granted. Do you ever recall a time when you consulted the members of your family on a decision that has to be made? Did you ever ask them if they needed anything, rather than wait for them to tell you? Did you ever give things voluntarily?

I am now starting to dread myself for being so negative. I dread myself for being judgemental and for letting bad things come out into the open. But I can't help myself. I am just a normal person - when I feel bad, I have to let it out. When I am angry - I have to be. No pretentions. No disguises. Nothing to hide! This is me. This is my battle and I am so very UP for it. So Badong and Cheri - watch out! This is only the beginning of your misery.

Jun-jun, Arlene, Vic P

Let me see how this works, as I am not good at all with regards to writing in Tagalog.

Go figure!

Pero hindi na rin masasabing biktima si Skypee, in fact, she has a winning streak right now. Ma?!

So far sa detective work na nagawa ni Skypee... ito na ang summary:
1. Badong = Joe = Joseph = Benjamin
2. Junjun =?
3. Si Cheri ay asawa ni Badong. (Go back to Item 1)
4. Si Badong ay sabungero (Go back to Item 1)
Naks! (The nerve)

Korek Ka Jan!

Hohoho. So... I got the equation right! Badong = Joseph = Joe = Benjamin.

Story courtesy of GheeEm.
Badong was home today at 2600. I was expecting him to be hysterical because he was shamed by the Skype caller, he was... "buking." Now the silence of the people around him made him paranoid. He didn't know what to think, he didn't know who to yell at, he was clueless, and very very nervous. His stories were twisted - each sentence contradicting the other. Who cares? Nobody believed in him anymore. He was looking for people to get to his side. Poor Badong, he even talked to poor ol' granny. I wonder what they talked about? He wasn't satisfied, he started blabbing and swearing at the caller. (I can imagine him naming the caller names, saying how disgusting the caller is, and how embarassed he is by the attitude of the caller. I can imagine him going back to the past, saying how his "goodness" and "generosity" were never reciprocated by the caller. I can hear him describing how ungrateful this caller was despite of his being a good "father.") Oh well... well.. well... the caller has had too much of that, since childhood actually. The damage of neglect has been done since then.

So Badong came home with the same story: that Cheri is the wife of Badong, that Cheri fought with Badong because of the Skype Caller, that Joe told the story to him, that he was at the "sabungan" when all this happened. That what the caller did was hideous and shameful. All that story going round and round, and nothing more.

When no one was listening anymore (aside from poor ol' granny), he had to call the attention of the first-born son, probably to see where he sided. [[Now I don't have details on this yet.]] Only thing I learned is that the first-born son showed Badong the Friendster accounts of Cheri the great. Now here is the catch... If BJ is not Badong, then how could BJ have known that Cheri does not know how to use the computer? How could he have been so sure that the Friendster account was opened by someone else? Is he that intimate with Cheri to know what Cheri does or does not know?

As a friend of Badong, why did this have to be such a big deal? If it was just a prank call, why is he so mad? Go figure!

** I would like to thank the efforts of EAL, MBAL, and GMOL for keeping up with me this time. I salute you!

Badong = Joseph = Benjamin = Joe?

From +63 9_7 79_5_17

Gd pm! Ngchacharge ang cp ko! Kmsta n jan, ng away c Badong at aswa nya dhl s kwn2 n Joe, n my tmwag at ng tanong cheri b e2?, itigil nuo nyan! Cg pg uwe ko jan pg usapan ntin: NKAHIYA ANG GNAWA NYO

My day has been soooo exciting that I can't help myself from writing another blog, as a continuation to the 'Skyped' story. Sino nga ba si Badong? Sino si Joseph? Sino si Benjamin? Plus... from this text message - sino ba si Joe?

Go figure!)

Whether Badong, Joseph, Joe, or Benjamin... whatever!!! LOSER! Liar.

PS.

Haaaay...

So I thought that our trip to Baguio will change

Cavite Calvary

A few minutes from now I will be preparing myself for another journey to the remote Cavite City. (Grrrr!) The commute is an ordeal because of the pollution and the hot temperature, not to mention the uncomfortable baby buses that we have to get on. And when we get to dear Cavite... I will again be deprived of cool air and the freedom to move around the house as I please. I am not being plastic naman with my PILs, but then of course you have to make "pakikisama" out of respect for the old folks. Besides, it is their anniversary today, so I give this day to them. (I hope my cough doesn't worsen as I get out of the house again.)

To make up for the half a day of disgust -- yipee -- we are going to Baguio! Yessss... the City of Pines... the Summer Capital of the Philippines... my "motherland"... my Home Sweet Home.

"Time is Precious."

Lazy Friday... continued...

So there it is now, and mukhang galit na nga sa akin si Engel. Sorry na! Hindi na mauulit. Kaya nga Engel eh.

Anyway, still a saving grace that I did not push through with the ToK.

Okay... Word of the Week is ToK as in Transfer of Knowledge. It may not be only for the Week but for the rest of my life spent with this company. ToK's are good, and very educational, for as long as the person giving the ToK is as eager to teach as the one who learns. How can you even be attentive to a powerpoint presentation that has nothing but words?! **Okay Rhoda, enough. =) **

Saving grace because today is a Friday, and it's just... Nobody really ever works on a Friday! (At least that is something I learned from my good old American bosses from Tele*ech. I am so looking forward to tomorrow! (Not about going to my PILs but about going to Baguio.) It's been a while since I went home to my dear "motherland." And always when I go there, I feel happy that I am spending time with family, having my beautification sessions with the ever loyal Gerald, and... last but not the least... feeling cool with the temperature.

It's so hard to pretend that you are greeting them well when you know for a fact that you are also just making a fool of yourself. I actually stopped giving them gifts and greetings three years ago. I wouldn't even remember their anniversary anymore if this month weren't eventful. My PIL's anniversary is also happening the same month, along with the birthdays of some very important people in my life.

**Happy Birthday Greetings: Ate LecLec, Mackee Malvar, Marcus Valencia, Ange** [Sorry kung may nakalimutan. Tao lang po!]

Okay... so stopped giving them gifts because I couldn't find the essence of it. Why are they still together?! Haaay... Maybe I will only understand when it happens to me. (Well I hope it doesn't, or else...!) I guess that is really true love then. My mudra is loving my pudra for what he is. My husband and I are both loving each for what we are too! Love should not have any boundaries, but what about patience?

Lazy Friday

Lazy Indeed... As I slept at around 2am already and woke up at 5am, I feel so tired, so clueless about what I should actually be doing to make my Friday more productive.

Haaay... Saved by "Skypee" nga ba ako o naging victim ni JTL. Haaay. On the other hand... cge... this gives me more time to improve my work. Lukaret siyang tulad ko, at nahahawa din sa mapanglait na si Reuel E. **Real-time update: The Engel is now telling me not to blog about what we have been talking about. And I don't answer! Does slience mean Yes or No? =D Hmmm... O cge, pagbibigyan kita. **

...to be continued... papakita ko sa kanya partial result ng blog ko... wehehe...

Day 3

Overwhelming is the best word to describe my third day with my new company. ( http://www.consiliuminc.com ) I guess I just can't get over the "joblessness" that I enjoyed for more than a month. I don't know where to start with my work! There is so much to learn, yet I feel there is very little time for me to cope with the expectations set by everyone. I don't think my "last-minute-of-the-rush-hour" work attitude will serve me well here. Argh! What have I gotten myself into this time?!
Today is also Ed's third day of work for the month of June as IT Manager for Top Ideas Food Corp. Food Food Food. I remember the last time we ate at Tempura - I so enjoyed the food (crunchy maki) but hated the customer service (this was in Mall of Asia by the way). The crew huddled in a corner near the kitchen, not minding the customers who were needing their services.
I hope my day goes well today. And I pray that my cough and colds would leave me!

The TeleTech Difference

I hope TeleTech lives up to its promise of providing superior customer interaction experience, not only to its external paying clients, but also to its internal clients -- its employees: both current and resigned.

While other departments leave a good impression to most people, the HR department does not seem to
