** Moving On. It has been more than 10 years since high school, and while everyone in my batch looks forward to the annual reunions - I dread it. It's not that I am being forced to attend the party, in fact, I never was! There wasn't even an instance where I received a personal invitation to join the group. I have this feeling of always being left out - this is worse than being inferior - because
there's nothing always specific to talk about. that is life - it is a mix of everything. it is good.

Muddled Views
** Fresh Air. I feel deprivation of fresh air whenever I am home in Cavite City. I have been breathing the same old air over and over again from 20 years ago since I moved here. My MIL seems to have amathophobia (fear of dust) that she doesn’t want to open the house windows, even if it causes your shirt to be soaked (literally) with sweat. (I know… yucky... but true) She doesn’t feel any guilt at all when she sees Ed and I so irritated, and annoyed with the 34-degree celsius air in the house. I had to be honest with how I feel… I never smiled since the aircon broke down on Sunday – apparently the fan motor just stopped working. She had to inject jokes such as “hindi pa man din mahal na araw nagpepenitensya na tayo…” or “hay, sa sobrang init pati ang kasangkapan nagkakasakit na din.” I never felt like reacting at all, and in fact, I never did! I don’t care whatever she thinks. I have been keeping my feelings to myself for so long a time now, not to mention how annoyed I get when she fixes the bed the second time around as soon as we leave the house. My mind goes, “eh alam mo palang mainit bakit ayaw mo pa rin buksan ang bintana!” or “leche, sino ba nagsabing magtiis tayo sa nakasarang bintana.” I don’t mind not having an aircon in the house… but fresh air – this matters!
** Breakfast drink. So I already said earlier that it is indeed very warm in that house. And here goes the GIL (grandma in law) now insisting that I take a cup of Swiss Miss chocolate drink for breakfast. Eh ayoko nga… kasi mainit. She eagerly took the box from the food storage and gave me one sachet. Politely, I said, “Thank you po pero ayoko pong uminom ng mainit ngayon kasi po mainit sa pakiramdam.” She goes, “Bakit naman ayaw mo?” Eh diba kasasabi ko lang? =) And guess how many times I have been into this kind of conversation… countless! Yes, truly… d ko na mabilang kung ilang beses kami nagkakausap ng ganito. At the end of breakfast though, I still end up just drinking cold water. :P
** Morning sickness. Not only pregnant women experience morning sickness. I have my own definition of it now – it is something you hate in the morning, but keeps on happening anyway. Okay – the breakfast drink issue could count as one morning sickness but I have discovered one more. It is the daily tardiness of my colleague, no matter how super super important it is that he comes to work on time. Haaay… kung nag-aaral pa lang ito at sa SLU-LES siya napadpad, baka may isang filing cabinet na ang principal’s office for his records. Is there a cure for such illness?

Saturday Vivace Fever
Ed turned on the iPod as soon as he saw me waking up. And so I got out of the room and headed downstairs with a big smile on my face, as the first thing I heard was the song Because Of You by Keith Martin. He was waithing for me. How sweet... kahit na hindi niya intention na iplay yun for me, I still think find it sweet anyway. :P [walang makikialam! :P]
As I have said in previous blogs, my husband and I spend all our weekends together at our new house in BNT (Buhay-na-Tubig). Sayang... okay na sana na Vivace ang name ng village na ito kaso lang nahaluan ng "buhay-na-tubig. And may "Pasong Buwaya" din dito ha! =) We have made it a point to visit Allegra (our home) weekly, and clean her up, so that we could prepare her for the much-awaited move-in. She is almost ready now, with only a few misplaced bags and stuff scattered all over the house. Ready here means... ready for another round of redesigning. We have hired someone to dress her up so she would look more of something we really own and for her to be, once and for all - different from all others around her.
Looking at our surroundings, we figured out there is indeed a lot of work to do for today... but... as expected, we opted to fill our hungry stomachs first before starting the day's cleaning session. And so we head to SM Molino. The first stop - Max's. =) From the uniquely-named waiter - Ruben Asia - we both ordered the tapsilog, the house specialty; pancit canton, mango juice and coffee; and strawberry chocolate sensation for dessert. Man the food was great! I most specially liked the dessert - something that I wanted so bad on Thursday at the same resto in SM Makati but was not available.
The appliance center was the next stop as we were wanting to see the new Samsung Slim Fit TV and some all-in-one printer we could use at the house. So yes - the reborn TV was there. The 29-inch TV was priced at 24,995 with a free TV rack. I sort of wanted to dissect the features but something else got into my mind... oh my goody... the Nintendo Wii!!! I was surprised to see the price tag of around 22k for a modified US version. I wanted to buy it right there, on installment basis, but for two reasons I stopped thinking about it: I was doubting the saleslady for saying it was modified, and the deadend reason - hindi na pwedeng magkaskas! :D :D :D Buti nalang noh! Maaalila na naman ako ng Mastercard pag nagkataon. Haha! So Rhoda - saka ka nalang ulit mangarap... maybe on the 25th yes! :)
What a weird end to the day's blog?! Bitin ba? :P

Hello =)
Kudos to the staff of Hello Telecom back at SM Makati! I bought a Samsung U600 yesterday and not only was I mesmerized with the phone... I was impressed by the superb customer service that the staff gave me. They really do stand by their store's name and logo... a Hello and a big smiley. =)
How I wish for all my days to be as happy as the smiley. People often see me smiling or giggling or just being my seemingly bubbly self, but just like everyone else - I also do have my down times. Yesterday was a total mix, it just probably got a little more gloomy because of the fact that I only had around two hours of sleep last night.
Okay so as previously narrated, I met my former classmate in college that does count as a smiley =). (I seem to be sounding like a judge from Pinoy PopStar Kids. hahaha!) And the smiley count goes on...
=) I got a fab phone, thanks to Samsung.
=) I had a hearty meal with my husband Ed, thanks to Max's... Sarap to the bones! (I just wish they could improve their Carbonara)
=) We got a comfy ride on our way home from Landmark, and more... I was able to help someone by giving her directions to her destination.
=) I was so happy to get to talk to our bunso Beneilski. I missss him soooo much!
= I called mommy and daddy. (Guess why the disappointed smiley is there :P) Looong story mind you!
=( It was traffic at Coastal Road! (as expected)
=( It was a bumpy bus ride from Binakayan to Cavite.
=) We had a tasty midnight snack, courtesy of mamang. (Snack pero rice na yun actually. haha)
= I was more than willing and eager to help Neil finish his homework but the lousy internet connection or maybe the PC just won't cooperate! This is one of the days I should have brought my laptop home.
=) At around 1am I was progressing quite good with the homework, but... come 3am...
(6) =( ... the devil came, and walla! The PC decided to restart by its own. Everything's gone! Now when I switched it back on, the lame card adapter just wouldn't recognize my data card anymore. I had no choice but to sleep...
=) ZZzzzzz...
=/ I felt a little bit guilty and sad that I wasn't able to do something worth passing as a homework. So I woke up at 6am and begged Ed to fix the desktop for me.
=) With a little more lambing here and there - he gave in. But we both were late to office na. But at least, I was now using a dialup connection for the internet.
=D A whooping 43.6kbps connection. Damn... that was fast! :D :D :D :D
=( Since I didn't how long it would take me to finish the work, Ed had to leave me behind.
=) I completed the assignment at around 8am... a few more minutes before Neil's 8:30 class.
=# It was taking 50 golden years to attach the Word document to the yahoo mail that I was supposed to send to Neil. He was at an internet cafe at this time, waiting for my email.
=) At 8:20 - the attachment was completed, and off the email went
=# 10 minutes before his class... he goes rushing to print the paperwork.
**sigh** I sent Neil an SMS a few hours later and he said he was fine.
**blushing** My brother said "I love you Ate."................... but only after I told him to! hahaha
=) I had tasty chicken and mushroom pasta for lunch, courtesy of Green Tomato.
=) I am back here in the office... blogging!

The First Official Blog Ever
I know I write well, but somehow and for some reason I don't know, I just suddenly lost the passion for writing. Maybe the loss of enthusiasm happened when I started taking up a technical course (Engineering to be specific) which really didn't need much of my creative writing. All we did back then was to write in straight technical terms, avoiding the adjectives, the euphemisms, and practically all the flowery, nice writing-stuff I learned in grade school.
I want to revive my creative side... to start being creative, even if that means going back to square one, like digging up my favorite thesaurus and dictionary from the storage room - so that once in a while I get to open it and learn some new words. Yes - this was me before. It is indeed a shame that years ago, I have found entertainment reading other people's blogs but never thought of making one I can call my own. Now here it is. I don't know how good I will be at this one, but nevertheless I know I will feel happy that I am trying to.
It is funny why I thought of blogging. =) Here's the story. A few hours ago, I accidentally met a former schoolmate in the name of Mon. We were never really close back in college - we were simply "classmates," but I don't know why I felt so happy seeing him. (Don't misinterpret me - I don't have any desire for this guy, I actually think he is gay. => ) He is not what made me happy... it is the meeting people from way back. We had this conversation that I will, later on, expound on:
M: "Nagkikita pa ba kayo ng former batchmates natin?"
R: "Naku hindi na nga eh. Ikaw?"
M: "Hindi rin! Nasa magkakaibang field na kasi tayo!"
R: "Oo nga eh... kakaiba na ang mga tao. What a small world ha, at dito pa tayo nagkita!"
M: "Oo! Masaya ako na nagkita tayo. Text text naman... may number ka?"
After we exchanged cards, we parted ways.
The short chat replayed in my mind while I was in the elevator. I realized how good it felt to bump into former acquaintances, and moreso - to look back into what my life was before. My life before? - I was a writer... =)
